Shapeshifting Subliminals

I haven’t talked to many Therians/Otherkin about their opinions of subliminals so I can’t make a assumption on what you guys may think about what I’m about to say but I will say please stick with me on this and if you have any questions or arguments to share feel free to comment

I found that listening to shape shifting subliminals for wolves in particular have helped me feel closer to my wolf self making me feel more wolf-like well I haven’t had Any physical shifting symptoms or have physical-shifted while listening to these I have had stronger shifts in a way of mental shifts and Phantom shifts and other such shifts that Therians/Otherkin experience

I would recommend listening to subliminals for your Theriotype/Kintype not for physical shifting or any of that but for feeling closer to your animal self

These can be recommended all day long and they will probably help ones dysphoria a bit, or maybe even alot.   Just keep in mind that they’re not going to cause you to physically shift.

Hello, my lovelies! So in honor of pride month, @transagegirl, @splatterpainted and I worked together to make an inclusive chart about the LGBTQQADOFFTMCN community! We are open to suggestions if your identity was not included. We had to umbrella many of the sexualities under queer, as there are hundreds upon hundreds that could not fit in the acronym, but are still very valid! This is very useful in explaining to cishets or other exclusionists what the parameters of our community are.

Have a wonderful pride month everyone, and remember to punch a TERF/SWERF!

I’m going to fucking slaughter you. pedophiles are not LGBT. otherkinity is a spiritual/psychological belief and is not LGBT. necrophiliacs are not LGBT. transrace is not real nor LGBT. transage is not real nor LGBT. being attracted to serial killers is not LGBT. demisexual/demiromantic is not LGBT. being a furry does not make you LGBT. intersex people have asked not to be included in LGBT.

Actually, demisexual and demiromantic are LGBT. They fall under a-spec and aro-spec identities, respectively. I agree with all others though.

again, if they’re cishet, they’re not LGBT. “needing to form a bond before feeling attraction” isn’t SGA/MGA or a non-cis gender (do we have a better term for that? does anyone know?) so, no, it’s not inherently LGBT.

Yes, they are inherently LGBTQ+. The community isn’t about have a Same/Multi-Gender Attraction or being transgender (and transgender includes non-binary identities and genderfluid/genderflux/etc). It about people who are not cisgender, heterosexual or heteromantic. A-specs and aro-specs are among the “not heterosexual” and “not heteromantic”, and therefore, are inherently LGBTQ+.

I was about to go off on a rant about this but i’m just going to tl;dr it down to a single word: No.

Something I noticed that was very prevalent in Lupa’s Field Guide to Otherkin that I don’t often see talked about in the community was the notion that one could identify as kin on multiple levels.

Just because you believe you are spiritually kin (through reincarnation, walk-ins, etc.) doesn’t mean you can’t look at yourself through a psychological lens as well. I’ve personally found said advice very helpful and reassuring, as I feel I am spiritually-based but also find a lot of parallels and possible dragon influences on my psyche through my upbringing, but always felt like I was betraying my beliefs by entertaining psychological notions while believing I had a spiritual origin.

I’ve also noticed that she relies heavily on Jungian psychology to explain some other types of being ‘kin that are no longer talked about in the community – for example, the idea of being kin through a personal mythology origin, an archetype, an energetic resonance, etc. I recommend doing some research into this area for anyone still searching to find a possible origin..

Yessss, I’m really not a huge fan of the psychological/spiritual dichonomy, the whole this OR that thing. Why not both? Or neither? And the idea of personal mythology in regards to non-human identity is really intriguing to me and something I’d love to see talked about more. Lupa wrote these two posts (here and here) about just that and it’s a good read.

I personally believe that kinness has both spiritual and psychological aspects, at least it does for me, but I know how they got separated in the community.   Both sides wanted to feel more valid than the other.

It’s not seperate…

I think this needs to be said more, a theriotype/kintype is not a seperate being from you. A theriotype/kintype is an identity and not a seperate entity you can speak to.

Nor a seperate being that controls you. If this is the case then I suggest looking into Multiple systems and Headmates.

I think games are stagnating a bit because we’ve sort of hit a partial apex in technology. A point where any improvements to tech (both hardware and software-wise) are incremental so there’s no huge leaps or innovation.

My theory is that it’s lead to sort of a developers-block and death of inspiration because there’s nothing new to play around with and inspire new ideas. No real drive anyone in the industry to try breaking new ground because it feels like there’s nothing new to create.

-We won’t see anything as revolutionary as first version of ID Tech again.

-We won’t see weird experimental tech like FMV stuff again

-3D game engines are so advanced we won’t see any breathtaking leaps in graphical technology because of the logistics. You’d need some insane rig running like SLI Titian Vs to run any game that actually looks like a huge leap forward because of diminishing returns and the amount of polygons you’d need to make a stark improvement.

There’s just nothing exciting to spark ideas and make you eagerly await the future of gaming anymore.

I honestly think developers need to learn to limit themselves more. Some of the most interesting graphics and gameplay mechanics came about because of technological limitations and I’d like to see a return of that.

I agree.

More devs need to simulate that experimental phase by intentionally limited themselves via lower-end hardware targets. To use PCGaming just step bad and say “I’m gonna make the best looking game I can that can run on a potato”

Just to give themselves that challenge to inspire coming at from a different angle when designing the game.

I think that’s part of the problem people have with indie games that use pixel art.

A lot of those games use pixel art as a crutch for easier art when pixel art was originally the best developers could make

Like a developer will try to recreate the style of say, a snes final fantasy game when the style they were emulating was meant to be as close to realism as they could get with the current technology.

A lot of devs just make really lackluster pixel art instead of bothering to push the limitations of the style and make something good like classic 2D did. One game I give props to for averting is this FoxTail because the graphics are beautiful.

It’s clearly using Pixel Art for stylistic reasons to make it feel relaxing and nostalgic instead of as a crutch to avoid actual effort.

This looks pretty fantastic.

Plus there are foxes.

self care is walking into the forest and letting the fae take you

Reasonably certain this is the exact opposite of self care, and that the OP might be a changeling.

No no, let them speak

those of the unseelie court are NOT valid

if you’ve ever deceived a human child fuck you

OP is a malevolent sidhe so go off i guess

Reblogging this with corrections:

Self care IS letting the fae take you.   Its not like we’re gonna kill you or eat you or anything.   Well at least I wouldn’t.  Becoming fae could be the best thing that happens to you.

Fae of the Seelie court, the Unseelie, the Nature court, and any other court, are all valid.

Fae not of a court are also valid.

Also, we don’t deceive human children, we save them.  I don’t know if you have had a look at humanity lately, but maybe you should…

Is it just me or am I the only otherkin who doesn’t need a moodboard for myself..

Theres nothing “inherently wrong” with moodboards I just see too many examples of using ones aesthetic to define otherkin identity, when tbh, it should be the other way around…

Fairy, Faerie, Fey, Fae and Fay

thistletongue:

Fairy:

  • is derived from Latin word “fatum,” meaning “the fates” and the Old French word fae and faerie meaning land, realm, or a characteristic activity (i.e. enchantment).
  • the standard modern spelling of the word faerie (as faerie is a pseudo-archaism.)
  • The word fairy came about to differentiate between warriors and human sized faeries in other works of literature. Fairies were delicate and tiny, often found in children’s books.

Faerie:

  • circa 1300
  • from Old French faerie “land of fairies, meeting of fairies; enchantment, magic, witchcraft, sorcery
  • from fae “fay,” from Latin fata “the Fates,” plural of fatum that which is ordained; destiny, fate,
  • to the word faie was added the suffix -erie (Modern English -(e)ry), used to express either a place where something is found (fishery, heronry, nunnery) or a trade or typical activity engaged in by a person (cookery, midwifery, thievery).

Fae, Fay and Fey:

Fae: plural for faerie

Fay: to fit, to join together.

Fey: fated to die

*Note: If one Google images “fairy” they will find lighthearted images of Tinkerbellesque creatures. If one google images “faerie” they will find darker images closer tied to that of lore and legends.

Other titles or names for Faeries:

Fair Folk, Good Neighbours, The Green Children, The Old People,The Silent People, Elf (ves)
